The DoW CIO’s Workforce Innovation Directorate issued the updated 8140 Foundational Qualification Matrix, effective September 19, 2025. The updated matrix maps DCWF roles across cybersecurity, IT, and cyber enabler work roles to approved certification and training options. The February 2026 compliance deadline for cyberspace IT and effects elements put commands under real pressure to demonstrate qualified workforces: not just course completions.
