AI-Accelerated Decision Dominance (A2D2)

Command the Data. Outpace the Adversary.

C2 operators already have the data. What they lack is time to turn it into a decision. On most watch floors, the operator is the integration layer: chat windows, a map, spreadsheets of capabilities and platforms, and several voice nets, all joined by hand while the clock runs. Under that pressure, fewer than half of the courses of action (COAs) built by hand were tactically valid. The operators aren’t the failure. The cognitive load is.

A2D2 takes that work off the operator. It reads the data feed, separates what is confirmed from what is still unknown, builds candidate COAs and has a red team agent argue against each one. The COAs that survive are scored and handed to the operator as a short, ranked list. The operator decides. In a scheduled exercise on live data, operators rated 97.5% of A2D2’s COAs tactically valid, compared with 47% for COAs built by hand.

Decisions, Not More Data

Most tools answer information overload with another screen. A2D2 hands the operator a decision package instead: a few scored options, each showing why it scored where it did, including time to effect, likelihood of achieving the effect, risk to friendly forces and assets committed.

Every factor links to its evidence, so operators check the reasoning instead of taking it on faith. They see why an option ranks where it does before they commit to it.

How A2D2 Accelerates the Decision

Operator-Steered COA Scoring

A2D2 scores every candidate COA through two gates: whether it’s feasible with current access and authority, and how well it serves the commander’s weighted intent. With A2D2, operators can:

  • Change priorities in plain language, such as “protect the data over intel gain,” and watch every COA re-rank.
  • Enter a new finding, such as lateral movement to a second host, and have every option re-scored against it.
  • Keep every COA current as the fight evolves. A2D2 tracks every asset against the limits its COA depends on: small shifts re-rank the list, and a change that breaks a plan triggers a rapid rebuild.
  • See which open unknown is dragging scores down and the collection or hunt task that would resolve it.
  • Question any recommendation, ask why, and push back on its assumptions.
  • Act on COAs that a red team agent has already argued against.

Open, Government-Owned Architecture

A2D2 is built for programs that already own their C2 systems and don’t want another platform. With A2D2, programs can:

  • Deploy lightweight containers built to the government-owned ABMS decision function APIs.
  • Add decision support that runs with your existing C2 systems, one node at a time, with no application rewrite and no permission changes.
  • Keep identity, permissions and execution policy in the runtime, outside any prompt, so no agent exceeds the authority of the user it serves.
  • Replay any decision from its record, which is written before each step runs.
  • Replace any service OMNI delivers, because the decomposition belongs to the government.
  • Stand up a second mission thread mostly through configuration.

Proven With Operators

A2D2 was built next to operators, not in a lab. Four cooperating decision functions from the ABMS Cross-Functional Team’s decomposition of C2 have turned live sensor tracks into commander-ready COAs in a scheduled exercise with military operators.

  • 97.5% of A2D2 COAs rated tactically valid by operators, compared with 47% for COAs built by hand
  • An 80-second median from data ingest to a decision-ready plan, and 19 seconds at the fastest
  • A five-line execution brief in 11 minutes, down from 15

The same engine supports Defensive Cyber Operations. There it separates confirmed detections from open unknowns and shows whether evicting an intruder now would tip off an actor who still holds terrain. It extends to Space C2, Army C2 and Joint Fires through a new mission layer, not a new build.
