System Delta 89 Contract Awarded to OMNI for VIPER Tool Development

OMNI is proud to announce a new $9.5 million firm-fixed-price contract award to develop VIPER, a comprehensive front-office tool designed to automate processes and streamline workflows for Space Systems Command’s System Delta 89. As the Space Force continues to scale, modernized front-office operations are critical to maintaining mission readiness.

Securing the System Delta 89 VIPER Tool Development Contract

OMNI, a premier provider of mission software solutions to the U.S. Department of War (DoW), Intelligence Community (IC), and National Security agencies, is proud to support the ongoing modernization of the United States Space Force. This contract award specifically supports the development of a modernized front-office tool for System Delta 89 (SYD89).

This contract was secured leveraging a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) through the Space Combat Power Directorate, Space Systems Command at Los Angeles Air Force Base. Securing a Phase III BOA demonstrates the operational readiness and commercial viability of OMNI’s agile software development practices.

Accelerating Personnel Readiness for System Delta 89

Under this contract, OMNI will develop VIPER, a comprehensive personnel readiness accelerator. VIPER is intended to fundamentally improve how System Delta 89 front-office leadership, personnel, supervisors, and supporting stakeholders manage and track personnel actions across the entire SYD89 lifecycle.

By delivering a comprehensive software solution tailored to the Space Combat Power Directorate, VIPER is designed to:

  • Deliver Total Visibility: Provide management with deep insight into a resource-loaded, integrated master schedule of all personnel, projects, and assignments.
  • Automate and Streamline: Cut through administrative paperwork and automate manual processes for the Space Combat Power Directorate, reducing overhead.
  • Enhance Operational Efficiency: Ensure operators can keep their focus exactly where it belongs: on the mission, rather than on legacy administrative hurdles.

Work for this contract will be performed by our team in Los Angeles, California, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2029. We look forward to delivering lasting value to our defense partners.
