With the appointment of Dan Goodwin, OMNI has a new executive. He officially joins our leadership team as Vice President of Emerging Mission Technologies. In this role, he will use his deep technical skills to advance emerging technologies. Specifically, his focus is solving complex mission challenges. As a result, he will drive better operational outcomes for defense and intelligence customers. This appointment aligns perfectly with our broader mission to modernize critical systems.
A Deep Background in Digital Engineering
Goodwin is a seasoned technology executive and digital engineer. Furthermore, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He brings a deep background in cybersecurity and systems engineering. Most recently, he served as CEO and a board member at GrammaTech. In addition, his career includes impactful roles at Northrop Grumman, SAIC, and Booz Allen Hamilton. There, he drove hardware development, software engineering, and complex program management.
Educationally, Goodwin is a University of Maryland graduate. He also holds two master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University. These degrees are in electrical engineering and computer science.
Bridging Commercial Tech and Defense
His deep understanding of hardware uniquely positions him to bridge a critical gap. Namely, he connects advanced commercial tech with complex defense requirements. Also, he leverages specialized experience in microelectronics and field-programmable gate arrays. Because of this, Goodwin will easily deliver the agile, secure solutions that our federal customers require. These are the exact solutions our partners rely on for maintaining a distinct decision advantage in the field.
Expanding the Corporate Leadership Team
Importantly, Goodwin’s arrival marks another milestone in our ongoing strategic expansion. He joins a rapidly growing leadership roster. For example, we recently welcomed Tim Coffin as VP of Strategic Growth for Space. Moreover, we brought on Eric Grein as VP of Corporate Development and Strategy. We also added Steve Hamric as Chief Financial Officer.
Alongside these additions, the company continues to scale its capabilities. We are actively integrating advanced tech across our portfolio. For instance, we recently added native learning tools to the Digital University platform. This expands scheduling, enrollment, and reporting for administrators.
Ultimately, we look forward to his strategic vision. We are excited to see the innovative solutions Dan Goodwin, OMNI‘s newest executive, will bring to our partners.
