Omni Federal wins Mobile Authentication Phase 2 SBIR with the Department of the Air Force.  Mobile Authentication is a key enabler of the Mobile First approach and will improve job performance and quality of life by allowing airmen secure access anywhere/anytime.

Today's warfighter expects a Mobile First approach with instantaneous remote access to backend data and systems, with preference for text over voice, superior technical performance, and seamless user experience. Extending authenticated access to mobile devices drives workflow transformation and improves operational readiness and resiliency by providing secure access to backend data and services.  

Our team will work with Business Enterprise Systems Product Innovation ([BESPIN](https://www.linkedin.com/company/bespin/)) and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Cloud One team to develop a 2FA Mobile Authentication capability and support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Certificates/Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials for network applications, encryption, and digital signatures on a mobile device. We will incorporate and extend GCDS’s Mobile 2nd factor capabilities (already in-use with the US Army) and demonstrate a seamless [Cloud One](https://www.linkedin.com/company/air-force-cloud-one/) mobile authentication experience for BESPIN native mobile apps and PWA on a mobile device.

[Omni Federal](http://www.omnifederal.com/) is very excited to partner with the new [Army Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA)](https://www.army.mil/cio#org-army-cloud) under the Headquarters of the Army (HQDA) [Chief Information Office (CIO)](https://www.army.mil/cio) on the digital transformation journey, to accelerate Army’s readiness and drive digital, data, and process transformation to deliver a user-focused secure cloud ecosystem. 

Our team comprised of [Accenture](https://www.accenture.com/us-en/industries/afs-index), [Akamai](https://www.akamai.com/), and [Bana Solutions](https://www.banasolutions.com/) is humbled and honored to be selected as DevSecOps champions to empower Army to deploy mission-ready applications. Building upon our DevSecOps experience across USAF and NGA software factories, our team will closely collaborate with our friends at [Team Clarity](https://www.clarityinnovates.com/) to support the design, development, and secure deployment of Army software capabilities into the Cloud. 

As part of CReATE initiative, our team will architect, design, develop and deploy an ecosystem of software development tools designed for the cArmy cloud environment to accelerate the deployment of new capability to warfighters and implement a common security baseline for classified information in a hybrid cloud environment. 

Working side by side with Army civilians and Military personnel, our team with self-service, and an automation-first mindset will build a suite of robust capabilities for cARMY and CReATE with an enterprise (CI/CD) pipeline of automation and path to production through an ECMA-owned Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution to bring soldier empowerment and drive accelerated adoption of new digital technologies. 

We will also be partnering with the [Army Software Factory](https://armyfuturescommand.com/software-factory/) in downtown Austin supporting their efforts in increasing digital proficiencies across the force and rapidly building systems to dominate an information-centric battlefield. We look forward to working with the Army Software Factory team and other Army organizations across the enterprise.
